Ralph Rockwood has spent the last 38+ years working with the HSB Global Inspection and Engineering Services company (HSB), an American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) authorized third-party inspection agency, in the roles of Inspector, Supervisor, Regional Manager, and is currently the Director of Global Quality.  His areas of expertise include ASME design, fabrication, and installation compliance verifications on power (nuclear & non-nuclear), petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical, and general process equipment (including wastewater). He believes that involvement in committees and on boards is key to the advancement of standards and public transparency. I currently serve as Chair of the ASME Committee on Conformity Assessment Activities, I am the Ex-Officio Member of the ASME Board on Conformity Assessment, and hold active membership status on several other ASME conformity assessment-focused committees and task groups. I also served 10 years on the Illinois State Fire Marshall’s Board on pressure equipment, prior to our relocation to Colorado.

He and his wife moved to Denver in 2020 to be close to our two boys, who both landed in the city after college. However, after two years of living in the City, they are enjoying the slower pace of Carbon Valley. We spend our free time walking, biking, hiking, and skiing, and we are both looking forward to retirement just a few years down the road.
